Indonesian food, when prepared right, is absolutely delicious. Beef rendang that "melts in your mouth" and sambal sotong that's seasoned and cooked just right. The advantages of working with food & beverage magazines is that I sometimes get to taste the food as well.
Every restaurant owner is proud of his/her own unique dish. They're also very very protective of their recipes. Well, of course right? Afterall, it's their "ricebowl". While I was photographing for "Halal Food & Beverage" magazine, I also got to taste some Indonesian food during lunch yesterday. It's a pity that I had already eaten just an hour before cause the food spread looked fantastic.
