Men have this infantile, fundamental desire to feel needed, better at everything than anyone else (be it other men or women) and some even feel the need to be popular.
Yeah, I've taken a long hard look in the mirror. Perhaps I'm over-generalizing and stereotyping. Perhaps not. Some would outwardly show their needs and desires while others hide behind a mask.
openness is not a strong point among Asians. We tend to be more private. Imagine a scenario where you meet someone for the first time. If the person is Australian or American (Caucasian or one brought up with "western" values), he/she has a tendency to be much more open with himself/herself.
The internet is a great place for Asians. It gives us the chance to break the ice, be more open and even more daring without really revealing who we are. After all, on the internet, I can be a Superman for all I care and nobody would really know.
The draw back of the internet is that people tend to take chats and things said online too seriously. C'mon...To me, it's just another media and up to the discresion of the reader whether or not to take it seriously. Of course, when it's serious news, such as a bombings in London or an aftermath of a disaster, it's serious news and a great place to gather volunteers in disaster aid.
But then again, there are always those that would abuse the medium. Imagine having a live feed (not live feed as in food but a live broadcast feed) on your website. Basically, you can be the owner of a form of media (something like a television channel). Isn't that powerful? Of course, if your content is crappy, then no one will ever think of coming to view your website.
In any case, men no matter how effeminate they may be are still clueless when it comes to women. Period.
