Which is the best? Well, to be honest, I liked 2 followed by 1 and then 3. Somehow, the third one lost it's edge but I suppose after the second (Supremacy), it's a tough act for Greengrass to follow. He may have set the expectations a little on the high side.
I feel that he's gone overboard with the handheld camera this time. It's almost like he took the entire car chase scene from Bourne Supremacy and applied the technique throughout. Made me a little sick to be honest.
Overall, I guess it would have to be 2-1-3. The first and second really demonstrated Bourne's ability to improvise and obtain information. Whereas the third had Pamela and Nikki helping him out which kinda spoiled it for me. Jason Bourne is supposed to be a loner (okay, the first one he had Marie) but she was pretty helpless most of the time.
He still had to rely on his wits a little more. I felt that the only part that made that bit was in the safe-house in Spain when he met Nikki again...okay, that be a spoiler.
I will therefore shut up.
